Due to the bad weather headed our way we will not be in school Friday, September 27th.  Your child brought home a few pages to work on at home.  The students are working on identifying and writing the letters of their name.  We are practicing naming and writing the letters of the alphabet, both uppercase and lowercase.  We are practicing counting, identifying and writing the numbers 1-20.  We are also matching numbers and quantity for numbers.  Please complete these activities with your child and return the papers on Monday, September 30th.  

 

If your child was not in school today (Thursday), these are activities you can also do with your child at home.  You can use index cards or small pieces of paper and write the numbers 1-20 on them and ask your child to tell you the numbers and put the cards in number order.  You can write a number from 1-10 on a piece of paper and ask your child to draw that amount of circles, or count out that many toys or crayons to match the number.  

 

You could read a book to your child and ask them to tell you about the story.  You could ask them to tell you about the character in the story.  You could ask them to tell you their favorite part of the story.  They could draw a picture of their favorite part of the story.
