Greetings From Mr. Jefferson / Saludos del Sr. Jefferson

Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! I look forward to a wonderful school year and to seeing our new and returning students and staff members.  For those of you who have not yet met me, I am a native of Hardeeville and a graduate of the Jasper County School System.  I am a graduate of the University of South Carolina and Concordia University, where I earned my multiple-subject teaching credentials and leadership and administrative credentials.  Now, as principal, I have the distinct pleasure of serving for the most amazing school district and campus!

At Hardeeville Elementary School, we value our partnerships with parents, families, and community, and we enjoy working with families to help students achieve their full potential.

As a principal and educator, I have high expectations for our students and staff.  In the classroom, on the playground, and in the community, I encourage best effort, a positive attitude, and a sense of personal responsibility among our children.  I want them to be enthusiastic, confident, and inquisitive learners.  To promote student success, I believe in fostering a shared-learning community that prioritizes communication, efficiency, safety, and respect.  Staff, parent/guardian, and student collaboration is very important to me.

I take seriously the trust you place in us by sending your children to our school every day, and we work hard to make students and families feel safe and supported. Our staff is planning engaging and rewarding learning experiences for all students. We believe that each and every student has a gift to share and that we can help nurture that gift.

We have high expectations of our students, and we have high expectations of ourselves to help all students learn and grow into well-rounded citizens and critical thinkers. Hardeeville Elementary aims to develop leadership skills, social and emotional skills, and academic skills to prepare students for success not only in elementary school but also when they leave elementary school.  In spite of this national pandemic, my expectation is to significantly move the academic needle.

Welcome to the Hardeeville Elementary School World of Learning where we are, "Working TOGETHER in order to GROW Together!!"

Your Partner in Education,

Bryan M. Jefferson, Principal

Students resume in person instruction

Greetings, parents, guardians, and stakeholders.  I wanted to provide you with an update and inform you that in person instruction will resume on Monday, September 13th.  We thank you so much for your flexibility as we placed every mitigation step in process prior to the Labor Day weekend.  We here at Hardeeville Elementary are thrilled to have our students resume in person instruction and yet again walk the halls of our building.  We are strongly encouraging all staff and students to wear their masks.  We understand we cannot require the wearing of masks; however, we do encourage it for the safety of everyone.  Because of the continued driver shortage, our first route bus riders will depart campus at 2:00 p.m.   Please be certain someone is available to support our smaller students as they disembark at the bus stop.  Car riders will continue to dismiss at 2:30 p.m.  In addition, Boys' and Girls' Club as well as our afterschool program will begin Monday.  Parents are required to provide transportation for these two after school functions.  If you have questions regarding The Boys' and Girls' Club, please contact Amanda Priestley.  For questions about the after school program, please contact Molly Binder.  You can find their emails address and contact information on the Hardeeville Elementary Webpage.  As always, we are here to support you.  Thanks again for all that you do.  Updated transportation information and technology information can be found on the districts' webpage.

Saludos, padres, tutores y partes interesadas.
