Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! I look forward to a wonderful school year and to seeing our new and returning students and staff members.  For those of you who have not yet met me, I am a native of Hardeeville and a graduate of the Jasper County School System.  I am a graduate of the University of South Carolina and Concordia University, where I earned my multiple-subject teaching credentials and leadership and administrative credentials.  Now, as principal, I have the distinct pleasure of serving for the most amazing school district and campus! 

At Hardeeville Elementary School, we value our partnerships with parents, families, and community, and we enjoy working with families to help students achieve their full potential.

As a principal and educator, I have high expectations for our students and staff.  In the classroom, on the playground, and in the community, I encourage best effort, a positive attitude, and a sense of personal responsibility among our children.  I want them to be enthusiastic, confident, and inquisitive learners.  To promote student success, I believe in fostering a shared-learning community that prioritizes communication, efficiency, safety, and respect.  Staff, parent/guardian, and student collaboration is very important to me.

I take seriously the trust you place in us by sending your children to our school every day, and we work hard to make students and families feel safe and supported. Our staff is planning engaging and rewarding learning experiences for all students. We believe that each and every student has a gift to share and that we can help nurture that gift.   

We have high expectations of our students, and we have high expectations of ourselves to help all students learn and grow into well-rounded citizens and critical thinkers. Hardeeville Elementary aims to develop leadership skills, social and emotional skills, and academic skills to prepare students for success not only in elementary school but also when they leave elementary school.  In spite of this national pandemic, my expectation is to significantly move the academic needle.

¡Bienvenidos al año escolar 2023-2024! Espero tener un año escolar maravilloso y ver a nuestros estudiantes y miembros del personal nuevos y antiguos. Para aquellos de ustedes que aún no me conocen, soy nativo de Hardeeville y me gradué del Sistema Escolar del Condado de Jasper. Me gradué de la Universidad de Carolina del Sur y la Universidad de Concordia, donde obtuve mis credenciales de enseñanza de múltiples materias y credenciales administrativas y de liderazgo. ¡Ahora, como directora, tengo el gran placer de servir para el distrito escolar y el campus más asombrosos!

En la Escuela Primaria Hardeeville, valoramos nuestras asociaciones con los padres, las familias y la comunidad, y disfrutamos trabajar con las familias para ayudar a los estudiantes a alcanzar su máximo potencial.

Como directora y educadora, tengo altas expectativas para nuestros estudiantes y personal. En el salón de clases, en el patio de recreo y en la comunidad, animo el mejor esfuerzo, una actitud positiva y un sentido de responsabilidad personal entre nuestros niños. Quiero que sean estudiantes entusiastas, confiados e inquisitivos. Para promover el éxito de los estudiantes, creo en fomentar una comunidad de aprendizaje compartido que priorice la comunicación, la eficiencia, la seguridad y el respeto. La colaboración del personal, los padres/tutores y los estudiantes es muy importante para mí.

Me tomo muy en serio la confianza que deposita en nosotros al enviar a sus hijos a nuestra escuela todos los días, y trabajamos arduamente para que los estudiantes y las familias se sientan seguros y apoyados. Nuestro personal está planeando experiencias de aprendizaje atractivas y gratificantes para todos los estudiantes. Creemos que todos y cada uno de los estudiantes tienen un don para compartir y que podemos ayudar a nutrir ese don.

Tenemos altas expectativas de nuestros estudiantes, y tenemos altas expectativas de nosotros mismos para ayudar a todos los estudiantes a aprender y convertirse en ciudadanos integrales y pensadores críticos. La Primaria Hardeeville tiene como objetivo desarrollar habilidades de liderazgo, habilidades sociales y emocionales y habilidades académicas para preparar a los estudiantes para el éxito no solo en la escuela primaria sino también cuando terminen la escuela primaria. A pesar de esta pandemia nacional, mi expectativa es mover significativamente la aguja académica.
