Parent's,

Checkout our photo album, you will see pictures from our social studies activity we did on September 25th. Students had to create either a pond, stream, lake or river out of manipulatives. They did an amazing job and were able to explain what they made.

Time to Read!!

Parent's tomorrow I will be sending home a reading log for you to use when you read books with your children each night. One side will be a log where you can log your personal books from home, and the other side will have the 100 Book Challenge list of books that will be coming home beginning next week. If you have any questions please feel free to send me a message in class dojo.

Rules

Today we stated learning and practicing our classroom rules. Please ask your student what the rules are and have them show you the movements that go with each of the 5 rules. I have listed the rules below so that you can help your student practice the rules. Also, remind students that just learning the rules isn't enough; they must also put the rules into practice each day in class.

Listen while your teacher is talking.

Follow directions quickly.

Respect yourself, respect others, respect your environment.

Be safe and honest.

Raise your hand to speak.

Today was the first day of school; the kids and I had a blast! We will be going over policies, procedures, and rules for the next 10 days. Please ask your child tomorrow what are our classroom rules.

Information for the 2018-2019 School Year...

This year students will be using journals in each of the core subjects (they will need 4 composition notebooks), ELA, math, science, and social studies. Journals will remain at school in the classroom. Each night students will bring home their binder that will contain their agenda, a book to read and work they can practice.

If you have any questions or concerns please write a note in your child's agenda.
