Greetings
My name is Tonya B. Rivers and this is my 9th year at H.E.S.! I come from a military family, so I grew up and traveled to U.S. Army bases all over the world, including stops in Germany, Arizona, Kentucky, Georgia and my home state of South Carolina. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Winthrop University.
Virtual learning, often called e-Learning or digital learning, allow teachers to instruct through a virtual classroom environment. Therefore, technology will be utilized now more than ever. Here at HES, we are bridging social distancing with technology. Technology can encourage self-paced learning and help educators give each student the attention he or she needs. Technology can help make teaching and learning more meaningful and fun. I intend to do just that in the computer lab. I am an extension of the classroom teacher. I will provide support and instruction to students by assigning web-based programs.
