When a community comes together to support education, amazing things happen.
Our incredible neighbors from Latitude Margaritaville Hilton Head raised more than $9,000 to purchase classroom supplies for the dedicated teachers at Hardeeville Elementary School. Earlier this year, teachers created Amazon wish lists with items that would help prepare their classrooms for a successful school year. On July 31, those wish lists became reality.
As teachers settled into their classrooms, residents surprised them with boxes filled with much needed supplies, along with coffee, doughnuts, and heartfelt encouragement. The smiles, conversations, and gratitude made for a memorable morning and a wonderful start to the school year.
The generosity did not stop there. Many Latitude Margaritaville residents, including several retired educators, signed up to volunteer in our schools. They are eager to tutor students, read in classrooms, and invest their time in helping our scholars succeed.
This is what Building on the Brilliance of Jasper is all about. Strong schools are built through strong community partnerships, and we are grateful to have neighbors who believe in our students, support our teachers, and are committed to making a lasting difference.
