I am Rechel Anderson
the proud Superintendent of Jasper County School
District! I have been in Jasper
County School District now in my role for three months
and I have done a lot. It
appears I've been here so much longer
but that's a great welcoming feeling! The
accomplishments thus far when I arrived
truly have been impactful. Upon
my arrival the one thing that
I noted that we needed to change was how
are facilities looked and
the perception in the community was
for us as a district. We are one of the
largest employers, if not the largest employer
here in Jasper County School District and we are
very proud of that but we also service
that employer that we are producing
what we know we need to produce
We have decreased discipline
 in our Middle School 75%
of where it was at the beginning
of the school year on last school year.
The other part that we want to make sure
we have consistency across our district
is making sure that what we offer our children's
choice, so we are adding a
STEM lab to our elementary schools
both Hardeeville Elementary and
Ridgeland Elementary as well as our Middle School
and we will have a ribbon-cutting this coming
May of 2019.  We are also adding
computer science labs to our middle
school and to Hardeeville Elementary School
Dr. Anderson started the STEM iDrone 
program Mr. Christopher
Williams and it's been the best thing to
happen to my students since I've been in the STEM program
I've been in STEM for about 4
or 5 years now but this is giving my 
students the best opportunity to be successful
What actually happens is 
I take this class, I get my certification you
know and then I as soon as you get
your certification, that's it, 
you can get a drone, register it and then you
can go out and start a business for yourself or
you can join your business like Sky Drone
working for other people and make money like that
I am excited, it looks good to have
new opportunities of the students and I'm happy
that we are the first school that has this drone class
because that means that we are the first

so how successful you can be through the drones
 and how important is class can be
to be the people who like to pursue that profession.
I am a part of the TCL Dual Enrollment program
the benefit of dual enrollment to me
 personally is that I can get ahead
why education and so that I don't have to stay
in college as long as well
stay in college college
as long as everybody else because
I already young
I just turned 16 so
I want to get ahead of everything because I know life
it's like it's takes
a long time to get to where you want to go so
I want I want to make that time as
short as possible so I can get to where I want to
be as soon as possible!  We are definitely
Student-Centered...Future-Focused!  Soon we
will have a computer science lab, a STEMU lab
we will be moving in Personalized
Learning to tier from tier-2 tier-3 so
there's so many exciting things coming
our way and we're more focus on the Curriculum
and Instruction. Dr. Anderson is assisting
us in making sure that every child receives
the education that they need and deserve!
As we move forward Jasper County School District
the one thing that I want to impress is
that we will continue to give
the best educational opportunity to our students,
keeping them first keeping
them at the center and keeping our future
focus on what is best for them!
