Hello HES family,

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the wonderful world of Computer Science, for the 2023-2024 School Year!  We will have an awesome time learning about Robotics, Programming, Coding, Algorithms and much more. This page will be where I will post interesting  videos, lessons, games, and discussion topics. 
 
*Please be sure to subscribe to this so the you will receive updates!
 
Be sure to complete all required assignments as they will be graded and counted as a participation grade in your Homeroom class. I believe in you all and I am confident that, together, we can and will do all that is needed for each student to succeed!

Digital Platforms and Intervention Programs Disclaimers

All intervention programs and digital platforms should be accessed via the Classlink Launchpad for your desktop. 

Once you are in Classlink, click on the program in which you are to complete work (e.g., i-Ready, Achieve 3000, Edgenuity – Pathblazer (Elementary), Edgenuity (Middle/High), etc.).

For High School ONLY: The only program that is not a single sign-on is ALEKS. Students MUST be provided their login credentials from their teacher. Students will be redirected to www.aleks.com in Classlink to access the content.

Intro to TinkerCad

We will be using Tinkercad to create 3D models. Please familiarize yourselves with this platform.

In the upcoming weeks, we will be enter into the world of CODING using a program called Scratch and Scratch Jr. Watch the video for your grade level to get a glimpse of all the wonderful things you can create as a computer coder. You don't have to be a rocket scientist, you just have to be open to learning and your possibilities are endless. Feel free to follow the link in the "Links" section to explore Scratch and Scratch Jr.
