November was National Career Development Month. HES students were given the opportunity to participate in the 55th NCDA Poetry and Art Contest which allowed them to create artwork or poetry depicting their dream career. Ms. Gadson, our school counselor, collected all of the student artwork and poetry and selected the winner. This year's winner is Ivanieliz Melendez from Ms. Frazier's kindergarten class! She drew and colored a picture of herself as a chef. Her artwork will be sent to Columbia, SC for judging. Great job, Ivanieliz!
