Welcome to the Hardeeville Elementary School Media Center!

Hello! My name is Kayla Maine and this will be my fourth year serving as the media specialist for Hardeeville Elementary School. I began my career at a school in snowy Syracuse, New York where I served as the media specialist for five years. I moved to South Carolina in the summer of 2020 to be closer to family and to enjoy the beautiful weather we get here! Growing up, my dad was in the Army, so my family moved around to several different states including North Carolina, Hawaii, Georgia, Washington, Arkansas, and New York. I received my master's degree in Library and Information Science: School Media, from Syracuse University and my bachelor's degree in English Literature, from SUNY Potsdam. 

 

I love to read, go to the beach, and spend time with my family. I am very excited for this school year and I hope to instill a lifelong love of reading and learning in HES students!
