Dear 3rd Grade Parents,
Welcome to 3rd grade. My name is Vestina Kenon and I will be your child’s 3rd grade teacher. I am from the small city of Pineland, SC. I went to Claflin University and Armstrong State University (Now called Georgia Southern University Armstrong Campus) where I received my Master’s in Education. I am very elated about having your child in my class this year. This is my third-year teaching at Hardeeville Elementary School. I’m really excited for meeting new people and being in a new environment. This will be my eighth-year teaching. I have taught 5th and 2nd grade. This will be my third-year teaching 3rd grade and I’m really excited. I am dedicated to providing a safe and cooperative learning environment that will allow all students to grow academically and personally.
My goal for this year is to help your child become an independent and responsible learner while accomplishing set goals. In order to accomplish these goals, there will be homework, independent activities, quizzes, and assessments. I have high expectations for my students because I believe if students work hard and do their best, they can accomplish their goals.
I want to work closely with you, frequent communication is very important. The best way to reach me for any questions, comments, or concerns is via class tag, email ([email protected]) or set up a phone (843) 310-5606 conference during my office hours (Monday-Friday 2:30-4:30). Please do not hesitate to ask any questions. Be sure to keep up with announcements and assignments that will be posted weekly on class tag. I am looking forward to having a wonderful school year with you and your child.
