Hello! My name is Diane Williams and I am very excited to be teaching at Hardeeville Elementary School. I am currently a Special Education Teacher for the Developmental Kindergarten Program. Teaching has always been a passion of mine. I believe that all students have the ability to learn given the proper tools to be successful. Students learn best through hands-on, fun, engaging and meaningful lessons. I also am a firm believer that children learn through play and given strong social interactions. Most importantly, I find it critical to have a close relationship with my students' famlies. I can't wait to learn more about each student that enters into my classroom!
Here are a few fun facts about me. I was born and raised in Troy, New York and resided there until I was 23 years old. I earned my Bachelor's of Science in Early Childhood and Special Education from The College Of Saint Rose and my Master's in Literacy Education at The University at Albany. On July 2, 2011, I married my best friend in Lake George, New York. My husband and I currently have one daughter and a dog. I enjoy going home to visit friends and family, especially around the Holidays.
